Wolf Kahn (October 4, 1927 – March 15, 2020) was a German-born American artist known for his vibrant landscape paintings and pastels. Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Kahn immigrated to the United States in 1940 to escape the Nazi regime. He eventually settled in New York City, where he studied under renowned painter Hans Hofmann and later received a Fulbright Scholarship to continue his studies in Italy. Blending abstract expressionism and color field painting, Kahn's signature style emphasized bold color palettes and abstracted forms, capturing the essence of the natural world. His works have been exhibited in major galleries and museums around the world, and he has been recognized with numerous awards throughout his illustrious career.
